WILSON PARKS
Wilson Parks grew up in the small town of Creswell, Oregon and began his musical studies at an early age. His parents, having noticed his consistent enthusiasm when it came to drumming on briefcases with pencils and composing beats on pots and pans, got him started on the drum set.
He was also simultanously learning to play the piano (and able to play “jump”). He later decided to pick up the guitar and was soon composing his own songs. During his sophomore year of high school, he transferred from Creswell High to Cottage Grove in search of greater musical fulfillment. Shortly after, Wilson met Merlin during biology class and later started jamming in the band room. Later, Wilson introduced Merlin and his other band-class friend Thomas to his buddy in Creswell, Trevor. They began to jam and started to write catchy, groove-oriented music.
Wilson is currently studying music technology at Lane Community College and is an active participant in the Eugene Faith Center’s music group. His other interests include composition, lutherie, women and violent video games.
